I believe in producing photographs that capture the moment I fire the shutter, giving an honest account of the view I see before me.

Photography teaches you patience, as that well known beverage slogan goes,
'good things come to those that wait'. I find this particularly true of Landscape photography, planning my location and keeping a watchful eye on weather forecasts, timing the shot to catch that moment when light and landscape combine in perfect pictorial harmony. Waiting, watching, sometimes coming home with nothing if the weather or light becomes unfavourable. Its a different pace to the ant hive of bustling day to day life. Peace, anticipation, awe at the world around me.

Weddings are a completely different story, often very fast paced and technically challenging as you adapt to the ever-changing situations around you, harnessing the natural light you have, or being creative with your own when nature hasn't quite enough. You really need to know your equipment, almost merging with it. Always ready to catch that moment. They are always fleeting.

I love photography, it excites me. The challenges that different situations throw at me keep me on my toes, keep me learning, with the aim of capturing that momentary image.
